Good morning!
I am happy to be here in Beijing. I’ve been to China a number of times,but the growth and the change always astonish me. I was in Beijing in April on my way to the China Refrigeration Expo in Guangzhou,and even since then the change is noticeable.
That is,of course,mostly because of the tremendous building boom preceding the 2008 Olympic Games. The world is eagerly anticipating those games,and I know the Chinese people are rightly proud of the work that has gone into them and the showcase they will be for their modern society.
I’m very happy to note that as China shows the world what it has become,it also showcases the latest in green building technologies.
It is not too much of a stretch to suggest that conferences such as these are in some ways similar to the Olympics. We hold these congresses every four years – same as the Olympics. We work for companies that are competitors – and yet we personally are often friends. We share our talents and our
experiences with one another – as a diverse group,even as we admire each others’ accomplishments.
I am visiting China both on behalf of the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute – ARI – and also on behalf of my company,Danfoss.
RobertWilkins教授简介：2007年担任ARI主席。1998年成为ARI执行委员会委员，因其独特贡献获得ARIRichardC.Schultz奖，丹佛斯美国区和加拿大区总裁，巴西区和墨西哥区执行总裁，服务在ARI已超过30年，获得范德比尔特大学工程学士学位，获得宾夕法尼亚沃顿大学工商管理学硕士学位。
