据技术人员介绍，无论是现有的坡度或平顶的屋面，在安装太阳能热水器上都存在一定弊端：因为太阳能热水器有一定重量，在楼房设计时没有作安装考虑的话，时间一长，其支撑架的角铁处容易出现渗漏；若遇强风天气，安装在坡屋顶上的热水器更是个不容忽视的安全隐患。
