26℃ Energy Saving Action Gives An Test for Citizen Responsibility
In the end of June 2005,9 environment protection bodies in Beijing together initiate an activity called 26℃ Energy Saving Action——2005 Our Promise,appealing to public to adjust air conditioner temperature to 26℃ in public constructions,such as office buildings,restaurants,shops,super markets and schools. The purpose to do this is detracting energy consumption and ameliorating environment.
The electricity consumption of air conditioner increases speedily. In June,the electricity webs all over the country are universally in the tension. 25 provinces shut the brakes to limit the electivity consumption.
26℃ energy saving action gives an test for citizen responsibility. Relevant datum shows that in the structure of electricity consumption,the amount of air conditioner electricity increases speedily. At present,in our country,there are more than 90 million house air conditioners. They consume more than 40 billion kilowatt every year. Additionally,there are more than 1.5 million air conditioners used for business. These air conditioners almost operate in the 24 hours,consuming the startling electricity energy. The statistics shows that in developed areas such as East China,South China and Middle China,air conditioner electricity consumption occupies 30 percentage of total burden of electricity web. It makes significance to use air conditioners scientifically and rationally to detract their electricity consumption,for undertaking electricity web security and relieving electric power tension in summer.
2005年6月底，北京9家环保组织共同发起“26℃空调节能行动——2005我们承诺”的活动，呼吁在全国范围内“把办公楼、饭店、商场、超市、学校等公共建筑的室内空调温度调到26℃，以节约能耗，改善环境。
空调用电快速攀升，6月份全国电网普遍吃紧，有25个省份拉闸限电。
“26℃空调节能行动”正考验公民的节电责任。据资料显示，在我国电力消费结构中空调用电增长迅猛，目前我国家用空调拥有量已突破9000万台，年耗电量超过400亿千瓦小时。另外，全国还有大功率商用空调150万余台，夏季几乎24小时运行，消耗电能十分惊人。据统计，华东、华中、华南等经济发达地区，空调用电已占电网总负荷的30％左右。可见，科学、合理的使用空调，降低空调用电量，对保证电网安全，缓解夏季电力供应紧张有着多么重要的意义和作用。
