The Solar Energy Using in Tibet Gets Outstanding Achievement
Science is changing the people’s life in Tibet,which is called “The third pole of the world”. At present,Tibet has been the region that has the highest solar using rate and area,and the most abroad purpose in China. The dream of Tibetnese for several generation to use light and TV has came true.
During the past ten years,through the way of fund,technology,talent and material,the science system increase the support to Tibet. There are little population and the inhabitation is dispersed in Tibet,and the energy for living use is very missing,but the solar resource is rich,so developing the solar resource will be an important piece of act to improve the living condition of Tibetnese.
Since 1996 to 2004,the Science Department has assigned 113 pieces of Tibet support projects,and 7.388 million yuan has been practicable. Through the affect of science stuff,the science facilities in Tibet gets great development,the support effect of science in economic society development is more and more evident,and the support Tibet work gets outstanding achievement.
科技正在改变有着“世界第三极”之称的西藏地区人民的生活。目前，西藏已成为全国太阳能利用率最高、利用面最大、用途最广的地区，西藏广大农牧区近50万人利用光伏发电圆了几代人梦寐以求的电灯梦、电视梦。
10年来，全国科技系统紧紧围绕西藏经济社会发展中的关键科技问题，以项目为依托，通过资金、技术、人才和物资等多种方式，逐步加大援藏力度。西藏边远农牧区人口稀少，居住分散、生活用能十分短缺，而西藏地区太阳能资源非常丰富，科技援藏将开发太阳能资源当作改善边远地区农牧民生活条件的一项重要举措之一。
自1996年到2004年，科技部共安排支持西藏各类科技项目113项，落实资金7388万元。通过西藏各级科技人员的共同努力，西藏科技事业得到长足发展，科技在西藏经济社会发展中的支撑作用逐步显现，科技援藏工作取得显著成效。
